The Oakcrest Story
The Oakcrest chronology.
Six chapters tracing the design path of Oakcrest from premise to launch.
An Auckland studio
Oakcrest was conceived as a premium New Zealand online gaming social casino studio. The reference points are modern Auckland nightlife, coastal hospitality, contemporary luxury and the architectural language of premium gaming lounges — not surf culture, not lodge motifs, not tourism.
Social & Oakcrest
The name pairs Social (the platform context — entertainment among adults eighteen and over) with Oakcrest (a coastal crest, an elevated horizon, a name for a destination with a viewpoint). Oakcrest is a premium online gaming destination with a deliberate name.
Southern Crown Megaways
The flagship slot was designed around three mechanics that must coexist on one grid — a variable six-reel megaways engine with 64 to 117,649 ways per round, royal crown wilds that expand to fill their reel, and a Free Games feature triggered by three or more Southern Cross scatters with a multiplier ladder climbing through 10×.
Pacific Roulette Prestige
The roulette companion runs full European specification — thirty-seven pockets, single green zero, inside straight numbers and the complete outside selection set (red, black, odd, even, low, high, dozens, columns). A statistics panel tracks hot and cold numbers across the twenty-five round session arc.
Oakcrest opens
The two-game collection opened for adults aged eighteen and over resident in New Zealand. Virtual session credits only. No money activity. The collection is finite by design — two attractions, fully engineered, no filler titles in the lobby.
Two-game philosophy
The Oakcrest design philosophy is that a finite, fully-engineered two-game collection beats a sprawling lobby of underdeveloped titles. Any future Oakcrest expansion will follow the same boutique principle — small, deep, fully-developed games rather than wide and shallow catalogues.
